Not true- JP Morgan and HSBC still own a huge amount of shares. Between Centro Assoc, the above brokers and new Chinese interest that accounts for nearly 40% of all shares held.

    Substantial Shareholders List
Date of Change Shareholder Name Shareholding % Shares Held
28/08/2009 JP Morgan Nominees Australia Limited 42,093,579 4.33
28/08/2009 HSBC Custody Nominees (Australia) Limited 78,137,952 8.04

In reality if the economic climate continues to improve commercial lease wise, Centro could settle up with their debtors by the end of 2010. Sooner if they are willing to take a 'haircut' or they offer current investors more shares at a discounted rate.

It will never be in the banks best interests to foreclose on the Property Managers of Centro. As their asset value is not worth much. Yet their ongoing revenue is everything-IMO.

It will take sometime yet I beleive this group will be worth several $ in a few years.
