Peter - one of the things they mentioned on the BBC overnight is the large number of shares that Dubai hold including in the London Stock Exchange. Besides the concern on banks and where they stand on this mess, there is worry about how much of their massive holdings they will want to unload. What the BBC also mentioned is that it highlights the problems that are still out there and they made special mention of Eastern Europe which has gone worryingly quiet. But at the end of the day, this thread is basically inhabited by technical analysts and for some of us it is just amazing how the news follows the patterns in the market.
