I think there is a market for satellite for remote areas but to say it is suitable for professional VOIP applications is plain misleading and wrong. Latency is and always will be an issue for satellite due to the physical distances. For the remote access part of the NBN proposal, having satellite services may be the best solution but it will still have its limitations in areas that require immediacy. Users will understand that and acknowledge that they will still be much better off for the majority of their requirements.
