Mate - when you invest you should look at the fundamentals behind the company, look at the
management and look at the market in which your proposed investment is operating.
1. AGL has good bones.
2. Management has not looked forward to what is coming soon enough - thus the crash in the share price
3. World investment in fossil fuels peaked years ago and in another couple of years investment in fossil
fuel alternatives will be like a run away train and no one will want a bar of uncompetitive and damaging
fossil fuels. The nuclear zealots will persist with their support but conveniently ignore the cost, lead time and
waste issues that are attached to new nuclear. Existing nuclear will continue until the point comes where people demand
that nuclear operators fully cost in the impact of waste and then the price will become uncompetitive.
So all the stuff in your reply has nothing to do with the value in AGL or the importance of this takeover proposal.
And IMO AGL is still a buy
