Like I said, resources is worthless if no one is buying them which is why Russia has made a lot of money from selling resources to the world up until now if Putin does decide to invade Ukraine. So if he does what is he after if not for territory and trying to be seen as a global "superpower" this way and not an economic "superpower" given this will clearly affect Russia economy for a long time and possibly even after his death if not during his old age.
