    But APPARENTLY he does want to take over the Georgian, Azerbaijanian, Crimea and other Ukranian territories...or is this just an elaborate ploy to improve oil and gas prices?

    As for your last question as to why he wants more territory is the significant agricultural outputs, and then the access to the rest of Europe via Ukraine.
