Well folks, has there ever been a race like this? What a thrill! The race has been extended by a lap, pretty well unprecedented and the stewards have not stopped the race in spite of many suspecting that Poorholder is just being thrashed beyond endurance. But one has to admire the courage of Poorholder, still in the race and running after such an exhausting run.
Allfup has dropped back a little on the news of the race extension and Metal Storm is still in the lead, now by a slightly greater margin. Has Metal Storm been given an energy boost or is it just the jockey whipping him into a frenzy only to to have him drop before the post?
Whatamess is right behind at number 2 of course, nothing surer than to bet on him. Poorholder has now moved up a little as well and is actually now in 3rd place and receiving a little bit of encouragement. She might actually just avoid the knackers yard! My oh my, this has to be one of the most enthralling races this century. Stand by folks for the exciting and nailbiting finish!
