Excluding the USA, the rest of the world is on the edge of endemic. Most are holding their breathes and hoping another variant doesn’t come along and ruin the status.
Are you surprised they are waiting?
Other countries are further along with covid than the US. If it trends like other parts of the world it should start to abate soon.
