I may come across as critical, but I am very much just calling it as I heard it on the call. The analysts were not impressed at all with the cost blow out and sales not keeping up. They acknowledged that sales were growing, but that costs were growing faster.
I pay attention to what the analysts ask and say because I believe they possess a large amount influence over the short term valuation of this company. If someone downgrades, especially if they’ve been a long term supporter.. people will pull money out.
I very much got the sense that these analysts were fed up with the company’s promise of high sales growth and not delivering. The urgency brought about by the $3m negative cash flow half.
In terms of going concern, I agree there are many factors that come into play and we both can agree to disagree on the weight that asset sale had on the balance of that determination. Because if they only had $3m cash at bank, and just experienced a -$3m cash outflow in the most recent half and expenses have increased by 50%… would internal forecasts on their own suffice, particularly because they are behind on their current year sales expectation (which was for high double digit sales growth year on year).
but again, thanks and I’ll stop it here as I can see I’m getting on some people’s nerves and that’s not what I’m here to do.
