@Joannie - thanks for posting this - I broke out in tears and reflected that when one's home country is invaded, people's fighting spirit revives, plus the young Russian soldiers have no real motivation to be there, and they must realise this, hence all this propaganda being spewed forth by Putin about 'drug-addicted nazis' etc.

Due to the system of alliances and treaties NATO countries (which includes most European countries) cannot help Ukraine - if they do, it will be all-out war, nuclear bombs and all. My country of birth, Austria, was occupied by the Russians until the mid 1950s and the Russians only retreated (after taking every scrap of goodies, including oil by way of treaties) on the condition Austria did not join any military union, hence they are not a member of NATO, but have only a small military, anway, who are mostly used in rescue missions - natural disasters etc.

i do worry, what happens over there, as I think Putin is a madman, hasn't really thought this through, doesn't realise that when people's homeland is attacked and the attacking soldiers have no real motivation (as happened with our soldiers in Afghanistan and the many other god-forsaken places NATO felt they had to intervene) - a drawn-out war will be the result, with unforeseen consequences.

Hold tight everyone, this isn't going to be over in a flash, unless there is internal revolution in Moscow.
Try and have a nice Sunday, I won't be watching any media after this
