No, thats not what they do at all.
I do actually sit on an investment comittee, not for a large super fund though.
We abolustely look at areas that present value, and we don't just stop allocating because of short term macro factors. We have a process, and reading headlines on Fox news isn't actually part of that process.
EM extends well beyond russia.
How do you think you add meaingful value in a clients portfolio? What do you think we did during covid? Just stop buying equities because it looked scary?
With respect, you have no clue what you are talking about. Which isn't surpising because it doesn't sound like you have any experience in this area, just hunches.
