yal just announced a 70 cent dividend. Ie $20% yield. there’s no reason nhc couldn’t pay a 50 cent interim dividend and another 50 cent final in 6 months. not saying they will, but they have the cash available and the franking credits to use. unless they have acquisition plans (I hope not) they should be giving the cash back to shareholders. Especially because of all the franking credits. Shareholders can make a decision to “buy back” for themselves.
having said all that, my guess is 30 cent dividend for this round! The Chairman will want a good wad of cash for whsp.
