Anyway, in response to your statement about being able to track any commercial vessel in the world, clearly you lack an indepth knowledge on the subject. Please follow the link to AIS live http://www.aislive.com/dataservices.html whereby (should you choose to part with the money like me) you may access the whereabouts of any vessel in real time. By real time I mean where it is every day and where it is going and what type of project. Every vessel that is over 500 GT must by maritime law have a functioning AIS transponder active 24/7.
If you cant afford it mate sling me the name of a vessel you would like to track and i will do you a solid and give you the info for free...
