The worst pandemic in a generation, imminent inflation leading to stagflation (as a result of central bank over-stimulus to fight the economic affects of covid), rising interest rates (to counter inflation), and now the most significant war that the world has seen in decades threatening world peace
= S&P is now 30% higher than before all these things happened. WTF
Meanwhile we have enough data to see that Qantas flights are under-utilised and remain very unprofitable, burning through the company's last remaining cash before needing to do a capital raise. Oil prices are at eight year highs while the Russians increase military resources on their attacks on Ukraine, unswayed by the world's pressure on them, resulting in further losses for Qantas.
How on Earth anybody thinks "buying Qantas at record high enterpise value is a smart move" right now with all of these things going on is absoultely beyond me. This is stunning.
