@Navarone spin offs are great .You get to buy assets in the company you hold twice.Of cousrse you may get a pathetic in specie distribution like 40 to 1.Or if you really lucky a chance to go in the ipo.Directors often do well taking positions on the new companies board and some times bonus shares.3 companies I hold have done it in the last year all the spin offs increased in value.
