I spoke with management after the last 4C to get some extra meat on the bone regarding the massive jump in expenditure.
Much of the increase in expenses were one off relating to 2 specific sectors that the company is focusing on to be massive revenue contributors in future quarters.
They also needed to use some external developers for some other large projects.
I am expecting significant updates on WEBEX shortly as the company announced it was kicking off this half.
Personally I am quietly confident WEBEX will be substantial revenue to VR1 as Cisco approached us to do this work. They identified us as having market leading expertise in this area and their management was of the belief that there is a massive demand for this across their users TODAY.
Although some of those high quality ex-posters here that I am in a private group with off line don't believe the revenue from this partnership will be large, the company advised the market that the Webex joint solution will be dependant on the take-up of the solution by Webex users on the platform.
And if people don't think 590 million participants on WEBEX calls is a platform widely used, then I don't know what is.
We should be getting some regular updates one would think moving forward from here.
