I think it is well past that. Putin has rolled the dice and it's all or nothing. He has gone too far and united too many against him to come out of this with just some guarantee about not joining NATO or something like that. And on the other side, Ukraine won't accept any conditions while there is an invader occupying their country - they have made that clear. This will only end with the total defeat of either side, or Putin being taken out from within a la Stauffenberg.
