    I wonder why an interim stop order wasn't used to prevent the large placement that was clearly designed to out-vote the shareholders group...

    Can ASIC retrospectively review such things?

    Still can't believe some of the goings-on here...and how many of us were effectively relieved of our money so efficeienty.

    I remember a "broker" discussing CVI on one of those business shows, effectively saying he couldn't understand what the shareholder's group was on about..."its all a bit silly I think" was his comment, or words to that effect.

    Whilst the writing was clearly on the wall for CVI at this time, it is fair to say everything really went pear shaped when Smythe kicked the "own-goal" in the form of killing off the options bonus, I assume to punish the retailers...probably the first real emotive decision in this whole mess and the one which really sealed the fate of the stock in a hurry.

    Fair to say, most of us will never get sucked into something like this again.
