A good presentation but the comments about trench and the the assumption that trench was responsible for the woes at KLL and SO4 deserved to be challenged though that was never going to happen when the video is paid promotion.
Shackleton ignored the fact that SO4 was designed as 68% trench at start up. Kalium is far less trench. In fact Kalium is significantly dependent on bores. As such both had some ability to control brine in the way he suggests may be required.
As for the proposed large scale trench operations, does he not know that brine can be pumped from the the canal size main trenches?
As for trench at Lake Wells, the relatively small and convoluted playa surface isn’t really conducive to harvesting large volumes of what is a relatively low grade brine.
I applaud his view on risk reduction but he isn’t being completely honest imo. Of course it’s what you expect from someone who needs to promote his own project.
