I woud suggest that there is a fair bit of market manipulation going on with the FNT SP, as is often the case on the ASX. Such is life.

Market manipulation is designed to deceive investors by intentional interference with the free forces of supply and demand in order to drive the SP up or down (in this case mostly down).

It is harmful because it affects the integrity of the ASX, who objective is supposed to be to allow the SP of each and every listed company to be set by the unimpeded and collective judgment of buyers and sellers.

If market manipulation is allowed to go unimpeded, investors may avoid a company if they feel that its SP is subject to manipulation. This I believe is currently the case with FNT.

In a nutshell, market manipulation undermines a fair, honest and orderly market. Investors should therefore bear this in mind, and also be aware that this forum could be used for these ill gotten gains.
