If the war escalates then there is significant risk to this Oil field from the Russians.
They have a lot of nuclear powered submarines that they would be prepared to use against any one of the companies who walked out on them and their Oil fields.
Sitting out in the Atlantic Ocean the drill rigs would be a easy target.
This war is a problem not easily fixed.
