An interesting presentation on Nitro at the SWA Webinar. What surprised me is we now have 2 Nitro full-scale pilots, 3 lab-scale systems. One of the full-scale pilot is in New York as shown in this photo:
The other one is in Akko WWTP, North Israel.
There was also mention that the Competing process with Nitro would be Anammox (PN/A). It is shown that MABR Nitro process is easier to operate, where they had joked that the Anammox needs a Phd to do the process. Other competing advantage can be shown here:

What it means is MABR is now not only applicable to municipal wastewater, but also for industrial wastewater as well.
