Taylor 78, some good and interesting points you make.

But don't forget there is a lot at stake here, his marriage, his kids, his golfing career, his business empire, his charities/foundations, his image, etc..... and no doubt he was advised on what to say and what not to say.

He has not let his fans down by initially denying the allegations - he has brought much joy and excitement to golf fans abroad and to also under priviledged children.
In his last visit to Australia, even the non golf followers were impressed by his professionalism, persona and excitement he brought to the Masters.

Yes I agree, he has definitely let his family down, especially his wife and let's hope all can be sorted between them both (especially when you have 2 young children and so much ahead of you).

Let's not forget, the great Michael Jordan (who was the biggest sports star on the planet before Tiger and is the best basketballer of all time), had many women across many states along with Magic Johnson with the all "groupies" hanging off them, however they were not heavily scrutinised/criticised like Tiger has been, as that's an accepted culture in basketball circles.

At the end of the day, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives with Tiger and again let's hope all can be resolved and he can keep his family together.

Locally in Australia, the shannigans with the likes of Brendan Fevola and Shane Warne, you have to admire the strength and tolerance of their wives, because if most of us married men had carried on, especially like Shane Warne has, you can guarantee it would be all over (and quite rightly so).
