when I was in my 20's I would get them and occassionally during the day...at the time I was advised I may have had a vit b deficiency...or iron....
I am not a big meat eater....Doc told me to eat peanut butter....a couple of times a week...
which I did...that was the end of the cramps....
if you google cramps today....there are many answers...
but old age, being female...and alcohol appear as more common answers
