According to wikipedia, pumped hydro has been used commercially since the 1890's. The EU currently has 38 GW capacity and a lot more to be installed as part of the smart grid project - a lot of it in Scandinavia.

Not sure about all the other technologies but one company I hold CBD Energy recently announced a 100 MW solar thermal project in China will use their graphite-based heat storage technology. US utilities (renewable and otherwise) also looking at compressed air, flywheels and even lithium batteries. Not sure how much is already attached to the grid but its on the way.
