I have solar on my yacht.It good as it keeps batteries up when no using it.
When cruising they are very good but have diesel engines that back them up.
Solar and wind I don't think will be ever the main event.
But nice to help were and when practical.
You wouldn't have solar panels in Brisbane. Every year you would be replacing them from hail damage.
Those gas cooled pebble reactors seem good.
