I can tell you straight out that you know nothing of Thai culture. That is just straight up nonsense probably garnered on a trip there from a half pissed foreigner cultural expert.

A 'Gig' is slang for a girlfriend or boyfriend or a 'bit on the side' . The bit on the side part is just as frowned upon there as it is here. It is definitely not a part of Thai culture and they value faithful relationships just as much as we do and I'd say, possibly more. Anything you know about Thai culture, as you've demonstrated here probably comes from a gutter resource. Tiger's misdemeanors have nothing to do with his Thai heritage, nor his American heritage for that matter.

I have a mate who caddied on the Oz & European tours and I can tell you some interesting stories about some of our most highly regarded golfing icons. Tiger is not alone in that regard.
