I think it’s very doubtful whether the elections are truly democratic but yes they do have them. The communist parties in different countries do. With limited options.
but then in that case Russia suggesting it is mounting a rescue mission to rid Ukraine of its democratically elected leaders because Russia doesn’t approve of then is a bit on the nose isn’t it
