So Aussie, I read your posts and others with interest. I totally agree with the premise that people can make unwise comments when emotions rule over logic when something goes terribly wrong. Would you agree?

So some questions for you? (Rhetorical)

1. What sells more newspapers/online news and draws more people to buy time or subscriptions; a good feel story or a strong negative news article?

2. Do newspapers and media organisations always present balanced sides of stories; or do well-paid editors instruct journalists to edit, using snippets of conversations to write stories that will sell the news and attract advertisers?

3. Can Social media commentary affect investor sentiment?

I just think these are fair questions addressing your comments. Note: Share prices can move if the news is right, particularly Penny Stocks.
