their approach to the economy was extraordinary and by that I mean weird. Raping and pillaging lands. It is small wonder they have not been particularly interested in connecting themselves back to Russia.

nato doesn’t expand west of its own accord. They don’t march in as the Russians are now doing. Russia could have played the same economic games and made it worthwhile for countries to align themselves but instead the leaders in Russian chose to line their own pockets and those of their cronies.
