Blackrock is now a substantial holder of MIN and a rumor was they might be the short seller of STX as well...

Pure speculation of course, but I wonder if the intention could be to prepare a low ball t/o offer for Strike by MinRes...??

A short view on the petroleum title map shows the major position (red = Energy Resources; blue = Strike) a merged company would cover over both fairways (Permian and Jurassic prospects).

Strike would be the perfect puzzle pieces for them to create "the" major Perth Basin player...
(even a spin-off of ERL from MIN and an IPO of these assets to fund a multi-billion exploration campaign would be possible, imho...).
