destroy consumer demand? Lol na, everybody stills wants their washing machines, graphics cards, iPhones and gas guzzling monsters trucks inflation be damned. They will just buy less groceries for the kids or skip the health insurance rather than miss out. Most consumers are plebs to be fair, and will continue to buy junk they don’t need while also blaming fossil fuels like they have an anti inflation switch that can be magically flipped
