Albanese was part of a government that cut defence spending almost a decade ago. He was the Infrastructure Minister.
This time he might be PM and he has already said he agrees with the Morrison Government's proposed increase in spending and signalled that if more is needed above that level-according to circumstances-then he has no problem with that.
