cazz, you should try living in the real world. This is between Russia and Nato. The Ukrainians were led down the path to fight Russia then abandoned. What Nato and the US have done is a disgrace. They are using the Ukraine to fight their proxy war. Biden was even too scared to hand over those Polish jets. Sure we all want this to end, but the big picture is that 30 years of Nato expansion has crossed a very big Russian red line. This was preventable. The US ran the 2014 coup and split the country. Nato recently said that long term they would consider Ukraine membership. Seems harmless enough, but with that statement they probably damaged Zelensky's negotiating position. They knew what they were doing, I hope assurances from Zelensky will be accepted by Putin, but considering the long term treachery from Nato(in Putin's eyes) I doubt Zelensky has much option except to try to win alone against the nuclear superpower, or cause so much pain that Putin pulls back. Everyone hopes 12k Russian casualties will give Putin pause, but they lost 180k men just defending Sevastopol in ww2 and still won that war.
