just because the legal case is dragging on for a long period has nothing to do with the potential size of payout.
in fact, it could very well be the exact opposite. The longer this drags on the more nervous the legal team acting on behalf of the class action will be as funding the case becomes more of an issue.
anyways, AMP have previously mentioned that they have provisioned for this case and it would be in Scully's interest to know as he is placing way too much energy into the outcome being favourable for him.
The class action is nothing more than the failed FP's clutching at straws.
If AMP were concerned they would have gone to the negotiating table a long time ago.
