It's a good thing they have this up their sleeve and are well aware. I trust they'll implement ads when it makes sense to do so, the team has a lot of experience and naturally more insights to the business, so just because it may appear an essential next step doesn't necessarily mean it's best to do so.
To me though, it does seem logical for this to be a high priority... News can't be too far away as the kitty would be getting pretty low.
