This is good news.
@hanabi - it’s a given that if the project goes ahead with RFX batteries … AND … RFX prices them at the same unit price as the 2MWhr project … RFX will lose money on the project (even with Gen3 units). But … Li-ion and other alternatives are in short supply with long lead times (reportedly >18months in Europe). And, RFX now have an install under their belt. So … a bit more pricing power this time that could get them closer to the line.
After the early work with Ergon in their Qld backyard not sure why RFX hasn’t been chasing local business harder. The 5 x 8MWhr Qld Li-ion substation projects have all been delayed due to battery supply and are now expected to come online over the remainder of 2022. Note, the “upgraded” RFX website has lost all trace of the Ergon trial from ~2015.
And with some good news … RFX’s annual capital raise planning is no doubt now underway so @Andrix you’ll be able to buy $30K shortly.
