22nm should be the lesser priority IMHO. However, I do understand if Leti are twiddling their thumbs then this is worthwhile to do. But focus on any further development of selectors, any 3D stacking advances etc should be the priority here over more shrink is more important.
We know the current market sits at tech 40nm and above. 28nm is the current economic sweet spot and get product out at that density or at 40nm would be the most important thing to do here. We cant lose sight of the fact that the plan was supposed to be fastest time to revenue and we dont need to be at 22nm in any hurry compared to those other things.
