AXM's mill currently treats disseminated sulfide ore containing gold. It has in the past treated oxide ore. It has the infrastructure to do so. Oxide ore could bypass the Flotation and Biox circuits. Oxide and Sulfide ore has been fed through the plant simultaneously. Probably wouldn't be much more than a bit of pipe work for the plant to do so again.
The problem AXM could have in toll treating somebody else's ore is accounting for who's gold belongs to who. They would still need to mill sulfides to keep the bugs in biox alive. Worst case senario, it could take 2 - 3 months to get the bugs up and running again if sulfide feed isn't sufficient or managed properly.
FYI some broad generalisations;
Oxides tend to be found nearer to the surface and sulfides tend to be deeper. Not all sulfides are disseminated sulfides.
In this case disseminated refers to the gold being bound up in the sulfide particle, kind of like choc chips in a muffin.
Biox autoclaving and roasting can be used to break down the sulfide particle or make it porous, so that the mineral can be leached. (AXM use Biox)
It could be done, but a bit fiddley. AXM really need to improve recovery before they are a major contender for a toll treatment plant, although oxides are easier.
