Not sure what is going to happen re discipline in the future. It seems that things are getting more and more out of control in classrooms from what I can gather.

Attention seeking students are taking advantage of the lack of serious discipline measures, and use school basically as an easy way to show off and gain attention from others, with no significant punitive consequences.....except being sent to some 'thinking' room or something.

I'm sure we would've played up a lot more if it wasn't for that broken fan belt hanging on the wall next to the teacher's desk.....lol......and yet I'm not really in favour of hitting kids, as much as it's tempting at times.

Seems like a vicious circle. It's education in various forms that is needed to make homes better equipped to raise kids who are good contributors to society, and yet it's education that those very kids are making very difficult.
