I would not discount Western Digital from acquiring 4DS Memory.

From an Access Speed and Endurance perspective, 4DS Memory is more like DRAM, but unlike DRAM 4DS is 3D and non-volatile which is what Western Digital is all about.

The beauty about 4DS Memory is that the technology is tuneable and will define a storage class memory market based on industry / acquirer’s requirements.

Dr WvdH did mention at the vAGM that Western Digital had provided 4DS Memory a set of parameters that they would like to see (which means they would like to purchase if achieved).

Now if 4DS Memory have knocked the hell out of those parameters by orders of magnitude, then we will need the likes of industry man Ken Hurley to get the best deal possible.
