I understand the rationale behind what you are saying but it doesn't make sense, so if they sell a position to short now and the share price goes to $3 eventually how do they are money, the whole idea of shorting is the sell at its hight or if you think there will be a down turn in the market, they also pay money for holding the shares
you are probably right but doesn't make sense to me
