I am high conviction on AVZ, but I sometimes think that I’m in too deep. More than 10% of my retirement account is now in AVZ shares. Significantly bad news (e.g., denial of ML) wouldn’t be a catastrophe, but it would certainly hurt.
I started collecting AVZ shares about six months ago (actually, AZZVF since I’m in the US) and I’m up approximately 35% on the total investment right now.
I’m curious about other high conviction investors: what fraction of your core retirement portfolio is in AVZ?
Disclaimer: I am a newbie insofar as mining investments are concerned, having switched a good portion of my portfolio from high flying tech stocks to minerals about six months ago.
Thanks!
