Then it shouldn't have been given to Ukraine after the USSR break up ......But guess what it wasn't tRussia's anyway, Crimea belonged to the Crimean Tarters... right up to 1917 when the communists took over.

Sorry to correct you, but Crimea was brought into the Russian Empire in 1783 by order of Catherine the Great.
