It did not fail- it chose to walk away as PAN had huge issues then (now rectified) and IGO is MUCH MUCH bigger now ($10 B) that it sold off its Gold for Lithium... I'm only guessing that its MC when it walked would have been say only $5B ????
After all its cash bid is over $1B ----- things have changed a lot for IGO !
