i think gold may benefit for a short time gold will probably become the currency of choice However for the most part it is a luxury item. it has virtually no survival value with in a short time it would become worthless too
the only people who will survive will be people who can grow their own food and are totally self sufficient
what people will need is land on which they can grow food residential housing would be worthless
I reckon productive farm land in places like byron bay would be the only asset worth holding
