Why not attack on both fronts?
I think in business style is great but in the end, sales are the key. Selling 1,000 units with a profit margin of $500 per unit is much better than selling 10 units with a profit margin of $2,000 per unit.
Spread the risk and chase the demand as well.
Plenty of now defunct car makers had great style and went broke in the last 120 years.
