CTP 6.12% 5.2¢ central petroleum limited

a good bet

I have been reading the CTP posts with a great deal of interest over the past few months (since I bought into CTP) and I have finally given in and decided to put my two cents worth in. At the risk of repeating what a lot of other posters have already stated as far as I am concerned the performance of the sp will hinge on two maybe three factors over the next 12 to 18 months (the third factor probably longer).

Firstly the results of the current drilling. If it is good news or at least positive news then the sp will reflect that. Obvious.

Secondly, assuming a positive result from the fist point then the next issue will be the results of the arbitration. Again a positive result will be reflected in the sp. As far as this is concerned I think CTP are in a strong bargaining position especially if the drilling returns positive results.

If both of these issues go our way then we are looking at a reasonably significant increase in sp however I feel that this will not happen until March next year at the earliest but a more probable (realistic) time frame is mid next year. After that a steady increase right through 2011 provided drilling results/production keep returning in the positive. Interestingly, India have/are relaxing a lot of the laws regarding importing of coal as demand is increasing there at an exponential rate. Can CTP exploit this avenue, I am not sure on that one.

Further to all of that I think CTP looks very good and whilst it is officially considered a speculative share I think in reality it is a little more solid than that rating. As a result of this I am more than happy to be a share holder and sit tight but it is definitely mid to long term.

My possible third point that I mentioned earlier it the fact that CTP are also looking into He. As a Scientist I know a bit about the qualities of Helium and as far as I am concerned it is the ace in the hole for CTP. It is possibly what sets CTP apart from a lot of other companies. However I think that the mining/production/manufacturing of He is a few years down the track. But if CTP can establish this avenue then that is what really going to drive the share price. He is reasonably clean and as far as I know it is fairly environmentally friendly (that is and is going to be a very big issue over the coming years).

Yes I know I am just repeating what a lot of you guys have already said and I apologise for that I just couldn't resist the urge to put my two cents worth in.

CTP is a mid to long term investment and I will look at the real value in 5 years time. I have been reading a lot of threads on other companies and a few people have had a crack at the management of CTP!!!! As far as I am concerned they are doing exactly what is required of them at the moment and thus I have no problem with them.

I would like to hear more from the likes of Camdenbob and Mrs_Peel as I enjoy reading their posts, that is not to say others aren't as interesting.

By the way what do you guys think of FAR. Africa is the great unknown economically and it could be the next frontier.

All of the above is just my thoughts on the state of play at the moment and I could be completely wrong on everything, only time will tell!!!!

Thanks for reading guys and gals.

CTP is definitely a good bet.
    Cheers
