Now Green Potato. There are many ways to skin a cat. Attacking China head on would be stupid. You play the long game with China. You get China to strangle itself. For example, by 2035, China will have close to 400 million retirees living on a pension, with a shrinking working age population to support them. Just picture that, 400 million unproductive people - more than the population of USA. China will have plenty of internal problems, without having to worry about what happens outside their borders.
Having such a large population is a blessing (for economic growth) and a curse (environmental/social instability/financial etc).
