i don't think the pain inflicted on the SP is retail. I am more inclined to blame institutional shorting and trading. You only have to look at the depth of sales each day to see bots have been working overtime on this stock for years with stupid pip trades on small volumes.
Retail do not place these nonsence trades.
Complain to the regulators who allow institutional players to play on registers.
